Safety & Preparedness Officer

The Safety & Preparedness Officer supports the Emergency Response and Security Services (ERSS) unit. The unit is responsible for a wide range of activities including emergency preparedness, disaster recovery and continuity of operations planning, workplace safety, ergonomics and court wide security initiatives.

Under general direction, the Safety & Preparedness Officer, plans, directs, and coordinates a workplace safety and emergency preparedness program; confirms the Court is in compliance with various outside agencies, while preventing injuries and reducing liability to employees and the general public; develops, updates and provides safety training to all members of the Court; assists in developing and maintaining policies and procedures; and performs related work within area of assignment.
